Display Case - Love in a Cupcake – Jennifer Richmond, owner of Jenni Cakes Bakery has used her boundless creative talent to showcase numerous ways of portraying love in the form of a cupcake. 

Meeting Room –  Walking with Walker – Mary Baptiste-Walker’s work reflects her unique impressions of her global travels.  Her subjects and her mediums vary widely, producing bold and energetic pieces of art.

Saturday, February 1, 11:00 am  Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine – Taryn Parascand is a NJ licensed acupuncturist and herbalist.  She received her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine.  She will explain how this approach to medicine has the potential to gently, and without harsh side effects, alleviate many ailments and diseases seen in the modern world today.  Herbal tea will be served and be sure to stay to ask Taryn any questions you may have on this topic.  Please register.

Monday, February 3, 7:00 pm  Harriet Tubman & The Underground Railroad – Harriet Tubman escaped the bonds of slavery and devoted her life to helping others do the same, leading more than 13 rescue missions through the network of safe houses known as the Underground Railroad.  Lorraine Stone, dressed in clothing patterned from the era, will present Tubman’s story.  Actress, Performance Poet, Dancer and Storyteller Lorraine Stone is a New Jersey Native with an extensive repertoire, frequently performing for the Dunbar Repertory Company and her own performance group, Wisdomkeeper.  Please register. 

Thursday, February 6, 2:00 pm  Adult Craft/Magazine Bowl - Join us in the meeting room to make a bowl from magazine pages. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring in a hot glue gun if you own one. Please register.

Friday, February 21, 2:00 pm  All is Lost - Academy Award-nominated writer/director J.C. Chandor takes the helm for this tense adventure drama about a man (Robert Redford) who must fight for survival after being lost at sea. Patrons are welcome to bring snacks from home to enjoy during the movie. Rated PG - 13. Please register

Tuesday, February 18, 10:30 am Chowder and the Fabulous Bouncing Chowder by Peter Brown - This winter, the OCL Puppet Show Players will be presenting a show based on Peter Brown's books about a one - of - a - kind bulldog named Chowder. He's quirky, charming, lovable, smart, and one heck of a hound. We can guarantee that you've never met a dog like Chowder. Ages 3 & up.  Please register.

Saturday, February 22, 10:30 am  Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 - Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 picks up where the first film left off. It's always been inventor Flint Lockwood's dream to be recognized as a great inventor, but everything changes when he discovers that his most infamous machine (which turns water into food) is still operating and is now creating food - animal hybrids or foodimals! Monday, February 24,  6:00 pm  Story Time & Craft for Black History Month – Let’s celebrate Black History Month with a story time and craft.  We will be reading Harlem’s Little Blackbird:  The Story of Florence Mills by Renee Watson.  A craft will be provided after the story.  For ages 3-7.  Please register.
